This nationally recognised course will cover the process of inspecting and electrically testing portable electrical appliances to ensure they are safe for use in workplaces, adhering to the AS/NZS 3760 standard. It involves a visual check for damage, followed by a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) check, and finally attaching a tag indicating the test date and safety status.

Entry Requirements

  • Must have a USI number or create one here https://www.usi.gov.au/
  • All students will need to demonstrate suitable language, literacy and numeric (LLN) skills
  • Must wear long sleeve high-vis shirt, long pants and steel cap boots to the course.

Important: This course requires pre-learning to be completed prior to attending the face-to-face session. Participants must complete the assigned pre-course materials before arrival to ensure they are prepared for practical training.
