The object of the Forklift Course is to ticket candidates with a High Risk Licence to perform forklift operations under WorkSafe WA.
DTE offers 1 or 2 day training course for experienced and inexperienced operators.

Pre-requisites

Participants must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have 2 x forms of identification on the day of training
  • Wear fully enclosed shoes on the day of training PPE
  • Present 2 x passport photos on the day of training or pay DTE to do this
  • Possess good verbal and written comprehension of the English language

Description

This course covers all aspects of safe forklift operations. Experienced operators that have more than 100 hours of current forklift experience are eligible for the one day course whilst inexperienced operators must complete the two day course.

Course contents include:

  • Legal requirement for forklift operation
  • Pre-start checks
  • Driving and parking the forklift
  • Lifting, lowering, carrying and settling loads
  • Stacking and destacking
  • OS & H regulations
  • Hazard identification

Participants are issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment and assessment and a high-risk licence to operate a forklift.

The listed course price does not cover the Worksafe Application Fee: $79. (Worksafe applications are compulsory for all Worksafe accredited courses/high risk courses)

Candidates may choose to apply for Worksafe certification on their own or do it through DTE.

Total: $93 INC GST P/PERSON

NOTE: Worksafe applications are compulsory on Worksafe accredited courses. If you want DTE to handle your Worksafe Application, please account for the charge of $93 per person. If you are raising a Purchase Order for any of the High Risk courses, please remember to include the DTE Worksafe Application charge in it.
