Course Objective
To provide the participant with the base skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Basic Scaffolding as defined by Safe Work Australia’s The National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Course Content

  • Erect, maintain, prepare and dismantle prefabricated scaffolding
  • Erect and dismantle: Cantilevered hoists to maximum working load not exceeding 500kg (materials only)
  • Safety nets and static lines
  • Bracket scaffolds (tank and framework)
  • Use of rope / knots
  • Use of gin wheel

Assessment

  • Theory & Practical Exam
  • Assessment to Nationally Licencing Standard is provided as part of the course

Statement of Attainment CPCCLSF2001A Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding (basic level)

Course Prerequisites

  • Must be 18 years of age or over and deemed Competent to be signed off for National Certification
  • Knowledge of Math is required
  • Ability to use and understand basic English
  • Able to work at heights
  • PPE, Hard hat & safety footwear

The listed course price does not cover the Worksafe Application Fee: $79. (Worksafe applications are compulsory for all Worksafe accredited courses/high risk courses)

Candidates may choose to apply for Worksafe certification on their own or do it through DTE.

Total: $93 INC GST P/PERSON

NOTE: Worksafe applications are compulsory on Worksafe accredited courses. If you want DTE to handle your Worksafe Application, please account for the charge of $93 per person. If you are raising a Purchase Order for any of the High Risk courses, please remember to include the DTE Worksafe Application charge in it.
