Pre-requisites

  • Read and write the English language
  • Participants must have good vision and hearing and be able to undertake light manual handling.
  • Must hold & provide evidence of a valid Western Australian Manual C-Class Drivers License.

Please bring a copy of your existing manual c-class drivers license.

 

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course drivers will attain the skills, attitude and knowledge to:

  • Anticipate potential off-road situations.
  • Respond to emergency driving situations as they occur.
  • Develop effective vehicle control and observation skills.
  • Demonstrate low risk driving techniques in an off-road environment, using a four wheel drive vehicle.
  • Change a tyre in the field.
  • Inspect and use a variety of recovery equipment
  • Be mindful of the environment they travel in.

All participants are provided with course notes and a take-home manual on the course that is conducted.
This course meets RIIVEH305A Operate and Maintain a 4WD vehicle (statement of attainment) nationally recognised standard.
